Teegalametta village, Battapanukula –GP Koyyuru Mandal and Alluri Seetaramaraju District. Leaving the cattle freely during summer is the traditional practice in tribal community. Where ever farmer not able to cultivate rabi crops due to cattle open grazing. Community has came up with solar fencing idea to protect their crops. Four farmers came up and set up the solar fencing for their 6 acres. The unit consist of Solar Panel, Battery (12V), fencing and inverter of Rs.15000/- The four farmers cultivated ground nut and sesame Each farmer earned Rs.24,000/- from ground nut and Rs.16,000/- from sesame.

Farmer Name : Sri Boppadi Malludora 65 years Spouse : Smt.Boppadi Padma 55 years . Boppadi Malludora living in Sarabannapalem village. Having three acres of Cashew orchard at Battapanukula village. It is major livelihood for their family. He is practicing nature farming since three years, his wife also participating in farming activities. They practicing the methods of NF with support of GSS. Last year they cultivated sesame and Ridge guard as a inter crop in their cashew orchards. They got Rs . 30000/- income from intercrop only. They got this income within 95 days. With that inspiration of last year They have cultivated 8 varieties of inter crops in cashew with 1. Ridge guard 2. Bendi 3.Brinjal 4.Sesame 5.Taro root 6.Turmeric 7. Chilli 8. Agakara in Cashew orchard extent approximately in one acre. Middle of May -2024 ploughed the land two times and sowed the Ridge guard , Turmeric and other vegetables last week of May. Early rains are helped to make their works comes easy. sesame sowed first week of May . Package of Practices: Practising Natural Farming methods since 3 years. Applied Ghanajeevamrutam early stage of the plant and after germination 15 days interval two times applied Dravajevamrutam. For the pest management preventively prepared the Bramhastram also applied in flowering stage for pest management in in vegetable field. They expected very good yielding this year, already marketing the ridge guard two cuttings and Bendi one cutting. Sesame planning to harvest last week of July. They are expected yielding 100 kgs income from sesame Rs. 10000/- From Ridge guard and other vegetables expected yielding 1.5 tones it is average income expected Rs.30000/- We will hope to getting 1 tone of Taro root yielding . It market price expected Rs. 20000/-. This is the this year expected Income. They invested for ploughing Rs.3000/- for veg.seed cost Rs.3500/-. Turmeric seed Rs.2000/.taro root Rs 1500/- Sesame seed cost Rs.200/- . For twice DJ preparations Rs 800/- inter cultivation Rs. 2500/- total cost of Rs 16200/- and benefit .Rs 60000/- Challenges:  Only one person working in the farming field. His wife helps cutting of the vegetables .  Local labor are not available  Marketing is the big challenge.  Monkeys are attacking the crop.

Farmer Name: Lotha Mallikarjunarao Village: Chuttubanda Mandal: Koyyuru District: ASR Land Details Total Land: 2 Acres Land Use: 1 Acre: Cashew plantation 1 Acre: Seasonal crops Seasonal Crop Cultivation (1 Acre) Initially, the farmer cultivated only Paddy and Pulses. Upon advice from Garam Swarajya Samithi, he started cultivating Rabi crops as well. For the past 3 years, he has been practicing multi-cropping with natural farming methods. To protect his crops, he invested in a solar fencing unit. Crop Details After Kharif Season (on 1 Acre) Pulses (Black Gram): 0.5 Acres — Yielded approximately ₹8,000 Maize: 0.2 Acres — Crop damaged Brinjal: 0.3 Acres — Cultivated using natural farming; earned approximately ₹18,000 Summary Farmer Lotha Mallikarjunarao has successfully diversified his crops over the years by adopting natural farming practices and multi-cropping methods. With guidance from Garam Swarajya Samithi, he transitioned from traditional single cropping to a more sustainable and profitable system, including the use of solar fencing to protect his investments.

Farmer Profile and Success Story Name: Segge Nookalamma Age: 35 years Family: Wife of Nookaraju, mother of a 5-year-old son Village: Ramarajupalem Panchayat: P. Makavaram Garma Mandal: Koyyuru District: Alluri Seetaramaraju District Background I am a traditional Aadivasi tribal woman living in Ramarajupalem. Our family owns 3 acres of land in the village, but it remained uncultivated for about 10 years and had turned into a small jungle. Due to this, we were unable to farm or generate income from it. Intervention and Transformation During a visit to my fields, the Garam Swarajya Samithi (GSS) team suggested converting the fallow land into cultivable land. They assured me that the soil is fertile and suitable for vegetable cultivation, especially since a stream runs alongside the land. The team also introduced me to natural farming techniques for sustainable agriculture. Following their advice, my family cleared the jungle and started cultivating vegetables on 1 acre, growing ridge guard, bitter guard, brinjal, bottle gourd, and chili. On the remaining 2 acres, we planted pulses, including black gram and cowpeas. Farming Practices and Results The crops are growing healthily and have been treated with Dravajeevamrutam and botanical extracts, ensuring organic and natural produce. Harvesting is currently underway. We sell our vegetables locally, both from the farm and directly from our home, and they are appreciated for being completely natural. From July to September, we earned a net income of ₹50,000 from vegetables. We expect an additional ₹50,000 from the pulses harvest. Impact We reinvested our earnings into a Kirana shop, which is now a source of additional income. Both farming and shop management are handled by my husband and me. We are now enjoying a sustainable income that has brought happiness and stability to our family. We are deeply grateful to GSS for introducing us to zero-investment natural farming practices that transformed our livelihood.
